King Ludwig Biergarten at 8660 North Main Street, Helen, Georgia.

Food was alright, other patrons / locals were welcoming and jolly, live music was great (Danny Miller).

Unfortunately, staff, particularly the 2 waitresses on duty outside on Saturday April 1st from 5:30pm - 7:30pm, were racist. One waitress was wearing red pants; the other was wearing jean shorts; both were bottle blondes. The guy tending the bar was great though!

Minorities, BEWARE. If you want to be avoided and then be "served" by dismissive and rude wait staff, then this is the place to go. I put "served" in quotation marks because you won't really be "served". You'll have to track down a server, literally walk over and corner them, to tell them your order. She'll try to say she'll be right over, but that's an alternative fact. Be persistent. Tell her your order and make sure you watch her key it into the system. All this is AFTER sitting down and patiently waiting for 15 minutes, telling both servers that you'd like to order some food, then watch as they help other tables that sat down AFTER you, and still have one of them give you attitude saying, "WELL I CAN'T BE EVERYWHERE" as she walks to a different table to take their order and then she sits down and chats with her friends for 7 minutes at another table, before ignoring you AGAIN. Then when your food is ready, they'll reluctantly bring it to your table, set it down, and say "you happy now?" Then before you're done eating she'll ask you to cash out probably to avoid continuing to "serve" you, even though you were contemplating ordering more food and drinks.

And before the restaurant claims it was an honest mistake or just a one-time fluke occurrence, we watched as an Asian family and a black couple were ignored - COMPLETELY IGNORED - while an older white couple, a white family of 4, and another younger white couple all get greeted with smiles, a menu, and within 8 minutes of each group sitting down (all groups sat down AFTER the Asian family and a few after the black couple).

White people (or racially ambiguous / can pass as white), you're good to go. We witnessed white people be served with great attention, enthusiasm, and before other tables of minorities that sat down first. You'll probably have a great time here!
